Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist Position Available at Queer Self Care Mental Therapy Center.

We are looking for a compassionate mental health therapist to join our team, with a primary focus on providing specialized mental health care for individuals who have suffered trauma.

Our outpatient practice is committed to creating a safe and caring atmosphere for trauma survivors. We specialize in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Please keep in consideration that scheduling flexibility may be required on occasion to meet the requirements of our patients.

Responsibilities:

- Perform comprehensive trauma-informed mental health evaluations on individuals to comprehensively analyze their trauma histories and select suitable treatment modalities.

- Create and carry out individualized treatment programs with a primary focus on trauma healing and resilience building.

- Use evidence-based therapy methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

- Lead both individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process trauma, develop coping skills, and promote recovery.

- Work together with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to provide our patients with seamless and integrated treatment.

- Provide crisis intervention and assistance in the event of a trauma-related emergency.

- Educate patients and their families on trauma reactions, coping techniques, and accessible support and healing options.

- Maintain documentation to the most advanced levels of accuracy and confidentiality while following legal and ethical principles.

- Actively participate in trauma-informed case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities.

- Stay up to date on the newest research discoveries and best practices in trauma treatment, always improving your knowledge and abilities to deliver the best possible care to our patients.

Qualifications:

- A master's or doctorate degree in a profession such as social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an authorized university.

- Current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT or Psychology.

- Although not required, 2 years of post-licensure experience is encouraged.

- An in-depth grasp of trauma-related illnesses, trauma-informed therapy approaches, and resilience-building techniques.

- Demonstrated expertise providing trauma-focused therapy and interventions.

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, with a sympathetic and nonjudgmental demeanor.

- The capacity to remain calm and supportive in high-stress situations.

- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and a variety of computer applications.

- A collaborative personality that allows for good cooperation in a multidisciplinary situation.

Pay:

$90,000 to $105,000 per year
