Licensed Mental Health Therapist (Telehealth)

Job Summary:

A Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in telehealth is responsible for delivering mental health services to individuals, couples, families, and groups through remote and virtual means. This role focuses on providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions while ensuring the highest level of care, confidentiality, and ethical standards in the telehealth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Your primary responsibility in this role will be to provide timely medical care for patients
  • Conduct Therapy/Counseling visits with patients
  • Deliver a great experience - with the highest level of professionalism, accountability, and service in your interactions with patients
  • Provide quality clinical assessment and treatment, interventions and care based on established best practices and medical necessity guidelines
  • Maintain clear, up-to-date patient records and communications in HIPAA compliant EHR
  • Respond within reasonable timeframe to client questions
  • Provide culturally sensitive, client-centered care
  • Maintain a confidential and professional looking virtual office space
  • Remain in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain good standing with all licensing boards

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Licensure: A valid state license as an (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) or equivalent licensure as required by the state, with the ability to practice telehealth.
  • Experience: Previous experience in mental health counseling and telehealth counseling is often preferred.
  • Clinical Skills: Proficiency in remote counseling modalities, therapeutic techniques, and the use of telehealth platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Strong online communication, active listening, and empathy skills.
  • Ethical Standards: Understanding and adherence to ethical principles and telehealth regulations.
  • Cultural Competence: Ability to work with diverse populations and respect cultural differences in the telehealth context.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and relevant software used in remote counseling
