The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in counseling or related field, be licensed in the state of New York, and have experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals, couples, and families in our community. You will be responsible for conducting intake assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing evidence-based therapy to clients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs
  • Collaborate with clients to establish treatment goals and objectives
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic modalities
  • Monitor and document clients' progress towards treatment goals
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and community resources as needed
  • Provide education and support to clients' families, promoting understanding and active participation in the recovery processes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' mental health concerns and determine their treatment needs.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to address clients' unique challenges and goals.
  • Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Master's degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate specialized training or extensive experience in mental health counseling
  • Experience providing counseling or therapy services in a clinical setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with diverse clientele
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards of practice

Salary Range:

Competitive salary range:
  • $90,000 to $100,000 per year for full-time
  • $52,000 per year for part-time
