- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the needs and goals of individuals seeking substance use disorder treatment.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver individual counseling sessions, utilizing motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to support individuals in their recovery journey.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other professionals to ensure integrated and coordinated care.
- Offer crisis intervention and support during substance-related emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery strategies, and community resources.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities.
- Stay up to date with the latest research, best practices, and advancements in substance use disorder treatment.
- Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, LMFT or PSYD in the state.
- Strong knowledge of substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented care.
- Experience delivering individual and group therapy in the context of addiction treatment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, adhere to ethical guidelines, and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
