Full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor Needed in Sacramento, California.

Job duties include working with patients of all ages and providing crisis response services to agency clients as needed. The ideal candidate joins a collaborative multi-disciplinary team that fosters an engaging and rewarding work culture. Job Types:

  • Full-time Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Detailed Tasks: Responsibilities:

  • Conducts mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, assessments, and follow-up care.
  • Determines and coordinates disposition of patients for appropriate level of mental health care.
  • Completes required statistical reports.
  • Collaborates with the Department of Correction to ensure access to patients, proper housing, and treatment disposition.
  • Coordinates patient care with other institutional programs.
  • Leads group treatment on mental health observation units and other units as assigned.
  • Completes all required documentation.
  • Participates in clinical supervision with Clinical Supervisor at least once a week
  • Participates in mental health and medical rounds as assigned.
  • Participates in case conferences and treatment planning for patients receiving and being considered for mental health treatment.
  • May conduct psychological testing as assigned
  • May supervise social work interns or student volunteers as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Unit Chief, Assistant Unit Chief, and/or Clinical Supervisor.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Compensation is between $115,000 and $130,000 per year.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid State license as a LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
  • The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.
