Licensed Mental Health Therapist in Sacramento, CA.

Join our child and adolescent psychiatry team in our outpatient office, where we provide specialized mental health care to young individuals and their families.

Our practice focuses on addressing a wide range of mental health concerns affecting children and adolescents, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. You will have the opportunity to work with a group of experienced child psychiatrists and contribute to the holistic well-being of our young patients.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Occasional evening shifts may be required based on patient needs.

Salary Range:

$115,000 to $130,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the needs of children and adolescents.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, considering developmental stages and family dynamics.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a variety of mental health concerns in young individuals.
  • Deliver family therapy sessions to support parents and caregivers in creating a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities.
  • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Psychologist in the state.
  • Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches.
  • Experience delivering individual and family therapy to young individuals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and child-centered approach.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build trust with children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
