Job Description
Full time Mental Health Therapist in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team that is starting a new and valuable service for youth and families where the youth have serious mental health issues. Individual must be comfortable in working in community settings such as the youth's home and school. Individual must have experience in crisis diffusion and management. Experience with Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT Skills training (any or all of these) is a plus but not required. Training will be provided on the job.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate ability to assess, diagnose, and treat children/youth and families.
- Provide individual, family and group therapy within a variety of settings (including community, home, school, residential, etc.).
- Act as the primary contact for the service plan with the ability to expertly and succinctly communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing.
- Provide 24/7 on call crisis support and intervention on a weekly rotation.
- Operate collaboratively as part of an intensive multi-disciplinary treatment team
Requirements:
- Master’s degree required Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid State license as a LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
- Thorough knowledge of services provided, well developed advocacy skills, knowledge and understanding of payment processes for services
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet agency driving standards
- Licensed or permit eligible upon hire
Salary: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
