Full-time Licensed Mental Health Professional (LCSW,LMFT,LPCC)

Offers a wide range of mental health needs assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult and/or child family members who come in for psychiatric examination and show up. Plans and oversees the treatment programs for each individual member in conjunction with the treating medical, psychiatrist, and allied health professional teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Creates, organizes, arranges, and assesses clinical treatment plans for Health Plan participants who are suffering from acute or chronic mental illness. Takes part in planning, evaluating, and choosing treatment plans at staff meetings. offers individual, couple, family, and group outpatient psychotherapy.
• Provides guidance and advice to patients and their families concerning following specified treatment plans and drug schedules, as per the scope of practice. If necessary, may perform specific treatment procedures. Offers suitable assistance to the families of members. Capable of creating and facilitating psychoeducational groups and classes.
• Creates and maintains continuing confidential records, as well as treatment plans, intake summaries, and case summaries. Treatment and advancement of chart members shall be in compliance with applicable state and NCQA requirements as well as recognized community norms. Participation in the department's on-call rotation can be mandatory.
• Collaborates, within the parameters of practice, with doctors to screen and assess patients for the need for psychiatric drugs. uses community groups' and governmental and private entities' resources to satisfy the members' treatment requirements. healthcare professionals and health educators.
• If a supervision course is finished, one may supervise post-masters fellows, associate clinical social workers, associate marriage and family therapists, or associate professional clinical counselors as needed.
• At the request of the member, may offer the member's family appropriate support, such as treatment explanations, guidance on how to encourage treatment, and interventions to improve acceptance and adherence to treatment.
• Uses community organizations, public and private agencies, and their resources to meet the demands of the member's treatment, including, where necessary, referring the member and/or the member's family to outside services. Participates in the creation, execution, and assessment of departmental programs.
• Notifies mandated reporting agencies about safety risks.

Basic Qualifications:

Education

• Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare from a clinical track, Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field required from an accredited college or university.

License, Certification, Registration

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
• National Provider Identifier required at hire

• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California)

• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California)

• Must be familiar with DSM-V as a means of diagnosis.
• Has experience in assessing, diagnosing and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards as is related to member treatment, patient rights, and member/patient confidentiality.
• May be required to participate in the department on-call rotation.
• Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods.
• Knowledge of the bio-psycho-social functions that contribute to mental health.
