Job Description
Full Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC, LMFT,LICSW) needed.
The therapist will work with adults, teenagers, or a combination of the two. In order to provide support and information as needed, they work closely with a variety of community resources and services that they are well-versed in.
Schedule: Full Time
Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct clinical assessments and create person-centered treatment plans
- Maintain and submit all clinical documentation with clients within 48 hours of completing the service
- Provide emergency support as needed in accordance with the after-hours on-call schedule
- Attend all scheduled programmatic meetings (e.g., clinical supervision, staff meetings, etc.)
- All other clinical tasks as assigned
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for clients who present with various concerns such as substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma and adjustment disorders
- Coordinate with inter-agency program providers to deliver comprehensive care for clients
- Prepare discharge summaries
- Provide therapy for each client on caseload in an individual, family or group modality
- Make referrals and collaborate with referral sources regarding client progress
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a human services related field
- Licensed in the District of Columbia in one of the following licenses (LPC, LICSW, LMFT)
- Must be familiar or willing to be trained on EMR systems
