About the Job:

As a Mental Health Therapist at our client, you will provide evidence-based treatment and mental health services primarily through telehealth. You will conduct intakes, therapy sessions, assessments, and maintain accurate documentation. This role offers a fully remote work environment with flexible scheduling and generous benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing an array of mental health services to promote individualized patient recovery primarily through telehealth video or telephone.
  • Conducting intakes, individual, group, and family therapy when applicable.
  • Providing mental health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress.
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals and community resources.
  • Advocate for clients' mental health needs and provide referrals as necessary.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling (LPCC), Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and family therapists (LMFT)
  • Active licensure (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT) in the state of California.
  • Preferred minimum of 2-4 years of experience working with individuals affected by mental and behavioral health challenges, with co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, or substance abuse treatment.
  • Know how to use telehealth in counseling
  • Access to a computer, webcam, reliable internet connection, and private, quiet space for sessions
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain professional boundaries.
