Job Description:

Gentle Force Counseling Services is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services to individuals in need of support. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering therapy services to clients with mental health and co-occurring disorders. You will play a crucial role in our various programs, including Intensive Behavioral Health (IBHS), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and General Outpatient Program (GOP). Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions based on clients' individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform thorough assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and develop customized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure clients receive comprehensive care.
  • Communicate with clients' families, schools, and other relevant parties to support treatment objectives.
  • Aid in setting and reaching treatment goals for clients.
  • Provide case management services and facilitate appropriate referrals to external resources.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in mental health therapy.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including maintaining client confidentiality

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years experience in mental health counseling or any field related.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and commitment to helping others.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
