Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LICSW, LMHC)

Location: Washington State

Salary Range: $100,000 to $105,000 yearly

JOB SUMMARY:

The Mental Health Therapist provides short-term counseling, assessment and referral to resources, as appropriate, for employees and family members of a company or organization. Together, the counselor and client develop strategies to resolve any problems that might impact a person's well-being, including personal concerns and / or job related issues. The process is client-centered and primarily uses solution-focused approaches to help the person identify ways to resolve their problems or concerns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs solution oriented brief therapy for individuals, couples and families from client organization and affiliated providers.
  • Develops action plans through identification and remediation necessary for problem resolution.
  • Coordinates referral options and serves as a link between clients and treatment providers.
  • Monitors case progress after referral and provides necessary case management services.
  • Prepares and maintains all required client records and reports.
  • Provides clinical assessment, intervention, case management and coordination for mandatory and recommended supervisory referrals.
  • Provides consultation services to managers, supervisors, and human resources personnel and training for workplace/work-team interventions.
  • Provides critical incident response.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: (2-3 years experience) (Required)

  • Clinical training in mental health counseling and assessment.
  • Experience providing training and/or adult education.
  • Training and experience in providing critical incident response for individuals and groups.
  • Experience in individual, couples and family systems, substance abuse counseling and trauma informed counseling preferred

  • Required Upon Hire: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker-Washington for jobs based on Washington
  • Required Upon Hire: Mental Health Counselor License - Washington for jobs based in Washington
  • Required Upon Hire: Marriage and Family Therapist Licensure- Washington for jobs based in Washington

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Proficient verbal and written communications skills with the ability to express ideas and present information accurately and effectively with people in difficult situations.
  • Skill in effective problem identification
  • Ability to interact, problem solve, and consult with diverse individuals
  • Ability to work independently in an organized manner
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills required. Proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
