Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $120,000 to $130,000 per year

Job description

The Therapist provides assessment, treatment planning, care coordination, and individual mental health services. Therapist will serve to ensure the Mental Health quality of service delivery and maintain the highest standards of treatment and supervision provided to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Consults and/or counsels patients regarding various mental health programs in the community including schools and incarcerated patients.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate referrals to existing community resources when indicated by assessed need
  • Assists patients and their families or related personnel to develop better resources, communication, and impact in areas pertaining to mental health.
  • Assists with alcohol & sexual abuse programs, as needed to enhance services for patients.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to encourage adherence with medical and behavioral health issues

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related discipline from an accredited educational institution or within one year of completion.
  • Must be licensed as: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Two (2) years of experience providing counseling services.
  • Knowledge of theories and research on personality and intellectual growth and development, individual differences, human motivation, and abnormal behavior.
  • Knowledge of interview techniques, as well as current trends in the mental health field.
