Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCPC, LPC, LCSW) – Join Our Team in Biddeford, Maine

Job Summary:
As a key part of our multidisciplinary treatment team, the Licensed Mental Health Counselor plays a pivotal role in supporting patients’ therapeutic treatment plans. Responsibilities include observing and documenting information critical to the treatment process. This role requires physical assistance for patients when needed, handling emergencies, and providing therapeutic support under nursing supervision. Accurate and timely documentation is essential.

Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM

Responsibilities:

Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:

  • Conduct in-depth evaluations to identify client strengths, challenges, and objectives.
  • Apply clinical knowledge to diagnose mental health conditions.

Individual and Group Therapy:

  • Offer therapy sessions to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Use evidence-based techniques to address concerns like trauma, anxiety, and relationship difficulties.

Treatment Planning and Implementation:

  • Design personalized treatment strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Monitor client progress and modify plans as necessary.

Collaboration and Care Coordination:

  • Partner with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health experts to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Connect clients with community resources and referrals as needed.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Keep detailed and up-to-date client records, including assessments and progress notes.
  • Uphold ethical standards for confidentiality and record management.

Advocacy and Outreach:

  • Support clients in accessing mental health resources and advocate for their needs.
  • Engage in community events to foster mental health awareness.

Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 annually, plus full benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
  • Independent licensure (LMFT, LCPC, LPC, LCSW).
  • Proficient with technology for virtual client interactions.
