Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Needed in Youth Village Counseling Center

As a therapist on our team, you will provide compassionate and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to patients. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care and employ evidence-based treatment modalities with patients

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-time.
  • 40 Hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, diagnoses when necessary, and evaluates patient’s status and the effectiveness of mental health care using tools deemed appropriate by clinical setting, such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, to create an individualized plan of care that includes cultural diversity and special needs appropriate to the patient population served.
  • Continually assesses a patient's progress and provides interventions and strategies to support the mental health diagnosis.
  • Prepares and maintains all required treatment records, reports, and other clinical information on time and accurately using current technology in accordance with regulatory requirements and department procedures.
  • Works collaboratively with the patient and others to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses the needs of the patient, desired outcomes, and agreed-upon plan of care.
  • Develop treatment plans and objectives in collaboration with the patient and family, as appropriate, based on patient needs/goals. Anticipates and intervenes in areas of patient safety and symptom reduction. Is able to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.
  • Coordinates referral options and serves as a link between patients and treatment providers. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other clinicians or other referral agencies
  • Provides education and mentoring for students, interns, residents, observers, and volunteers.
  • With direction from your clinical supervisor, you may be asked to provide peer-to-peer review, clinical collaboration, chart auditing, coaching, and mentoring in an effort to support team member development.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school of Social Work and a current license from the State Board of Social Work Licensure
  • The minimum requirement for licensure is a Licensed Clinical Social Work level (LCSW)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process
  • Between six months and one year of clinical experience preferably in a health or mental health setting with an emphasis on populations to be served in the assigned area
  • Training and experience are necessary to address the specific needs of the patients served in assigned areas of responsibility; this includes issues relating to age and stage of development and the particular special needs and cultural patterns of the patient populations being served
  • 1+ years of relevant behavioral health experience in providing treatment to children, adolescents, and/or adults is highly preferred.
  • Outpatient and/or private practice experience is highly preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, a positive attitude, effective leadership abilities, and a passion for patient care and clinical excellence.
  • Must value current evidence-based clinical practice and culturally sensitive care.
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.

SALARY:

$80,000 - $100,000 per year
