About the position:
The Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) will be responsible for assessing/diagnosing behavioral/mental health issues, determining appropriate types/methods of treatment, and implementing intervention methodologies (psychotherapy) via the telehealth platform and documentation of those services in the electronic medical record.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment/diagnosis and psychotherapy to a wide range of patients as young as 12 up to geriatric age that are appropriate for telehealth services
- Use evidence-based screening tools with patients to screen and measure outcomes
- Document in electronic medical record the services that were provided, as well as providing diagnosis and billing code for the encounter
- Provide services via audio and visual two-way communication platform
- Abide by the NASW code of Ethics and all laws and regulatory bodies governing the practice location
- Coordinate with clinical, health education, community health and other staff members in the provision of services to patients if necessary.
- Advocate for clients by connecting them with community resources and support services.
- Participate in case reviews, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Social Work, having obtained licensure as an Independent (LICSW) able to practice independently in Washington
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Social Worker
- General knowledge and understanding of clinical verbiage
- Strong attention to detail for use in chart documentation
- Excellent time management/calendaring skills and ability to deliver documentation timely
- Strong experience using computers and computer systems
- Experience using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite or other systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication
