Job description

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will accomplish this by observing how people interact within units, diagnose and treat psychological disorders, guide clients through difficult life transitions, assist clients in resolving relational or behavioral problems, and help clients to replace dysfunctional behaviors with healthy alternatives. Job duties include carrying a caseload of individuals, couples, children, and/or family patients in a private practice setting. The therapist is responsible for providing direct psychological clinical services to injured workers

Responsibilities:

  • Provide brief individual therapy to individuals in the FRP and evaluating their clinical progress in the program.
  • Ability to establish rapport with patients, families, professionals, and co-workers.
  • An attitude of excellence in providing quality patient care.
  • Perform Assessment and treatment planning for active caseload.
  • Familiarity working with chronic pain/trauma population, an integrated therapeutic approach is a plus

Requirements:

  • Valid State License with Master’s degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in providing mental health services, preferably in a health-related setting.
  • Familiarity with privacy, health, and safety laws
  • Coaching skills to help patients make positive changes
  • Organization skills to maintain up-to-date, easy-to-navigate patient file
