Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Needed at Advanced Behavioral Therapy Center.

We are presently looking for Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) with addiction counseling experience for our Geriatric Care Clinic. Candidates that demonstrate great clinical skills, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a collaborative approach will be given preference during the selection process.

Our clinic specializes in providing counseling and therapy services that are geared to the specific requirements of seniors dealing with concerns such as bereavement, life changes, and age-related challenges.

Work Schedule:

Regular workweek 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

-Conduct mental health assessments on senior citizens to determine their specific care needs.

-Individual and group therapy sessions should be provided to address emotional concerns related with the aging process and life changes.

-Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care solutions for senior people.

-Educate workers and family on how to promote older citizens' emotional well-being and general quality of life.

-Provide grief and loss therapy to residents and their families who are confronting end-of-life issues.

-Implement cognitive stimulation and mental health measures to improve mental sharpness in the aged population.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Accredited Institutions / Universities
  • Valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
  • Minimum 4 years of recent experience in geriatric counseling and mental health support.
  • Additional training or specialization in geriatric mental health and aging-related issues.
  • Experience delivering counseling services to elderly individuals with various mental health challenges.
  • Understanding of evidence-based interventions for promoting mental well-being in the elderly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with elderly residents.
  • Empathy and cultural sensitivity to support older adults from diverse backgrounds.
  • Capability to conduct thorough assessments and design personalized treatment approaches.
  • Knowledge of ethical and legal standards in geriatric mental health counseling.

Salary:

$80000-100,000 Each year, with a bonus
