Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Needed at Nashville Brain Counseling Center.

We are actively looking for Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) with addiction counseling experience to join our Nashville Brain Counseling Center. Candidates with great clinical skills, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a collaborative approach will be given precedence during the recruiting process.

Our area of expertise is in providing counseling and therapy services to seniors who are dealing with concerns such as grief, life changes, and aging.

Work Schedule:

Regular workweek 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess senior residents' mental health in order to determine special care needs.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address emotional issues related to aging and life changes.
  • Work with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans for geriatric patients.
  • Educate workers and families on techniques to increase emotional well-being and the quality of life for older people.
  • Provide grief and loss counseling to residents and their families facing end-of-life concerns.
  • Implement cognitive stimulation programs and mental health therapies to improve older people's mental clarity.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited college or university
  • Current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification
  • A minimum of 4 years of recent experience in senior counseling and mental health assistance is required.
  • Additional education or training in senior mental health and aging concerns
  • Counseling experience with older people experiencing a variety of mental health issues
  • Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for supporting mental health in the elderly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with senior citizens
  • Empathy and cultural awareness to assist older persons from various backgrounds
  • Ability to perform thorough assessments and provide tailored treatment plans
  • Knowledge of senior mental health counseling ethical and legal requirements

Salary:

$80,000-100,000 Each year, with a bonus
