Seeking a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) at Family Insight Counseling Center.

Our organization is actively looking for Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) with addiction counseling experience. We especially seek people with great clinical abilities, a caring temperament, cultural awareness, and a collaborative approach during our recruiting process.

Work Schedule:

Regular workweek 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct mental health assessments on seniors to evaluate their specific care requirements.

- Lead individual and group therapy sessions to help people cope with the emotional issues that come with aging and life transitions.

- Work together with healthcare specialists to create comprehensive care plans for the elderly.

- Educate both staff and family on techniques to improve senior residents' emotional well-being and general quality of life.

- Provide grief and loss counseling to residents and their families dealing with end-of-life issues.

- Implement cognitive stimulation programs and mental health therapy to improve elderly people's mental acuity and well-being.

Requirements:

- A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an approved institution or university is required.

- Be in possession of a current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license.

- A minimum of four years recent experience in geriatric counseling and mental health assistance is required.

- Preference for further geriatric mental health and aging-related diseases training or experience.

- Proven ability to provide counseling services to elderly people suffering from a variety of mental health conditions.

- Understanding of evidence-based practices for boosting older mental health.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for encounters with senior citizens.

- Demonstrate empathy and cultural awareness when serving elderly people from various origins.

- The ability to perform thorough assessments and provide tailored treatment strategies.

- A strong awareness of geriatric mental health counseling ethical and legal requirements.

Salary:

$90,000-105,000 Each year, with a bonus
