Exciting Full-Time Position Available to Join Our Weight Management Team at a Medical Practice.

Job Highlights:

- An excellent chance for a Mental Health Counselor who specializes in Obesity and/or Binge Eating.

- A 36-hour workweek is ideal, but we are willing to accommodate 32 hours.

- Workdays are restricted to Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive mental health examinations for weight loss, obesity, and binge eating.

- Guide therapy selection using standardized tests.

- Offer individual counseling on emotional, behavioral, and psychological aspects of weight control.

- Develop tailored treatment programs based on the requirements and preferences of the patient.

- Inform patients about the psychological implications of weight control.

- Work with medical specialists to give complete treatment.

- Facilitate group treatment sessions and encourage peer support.

- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment strategies as needed.

- Use EPIC software to keep electronic medical records.

- Stay current on mental health and weight-control strategies.

- Take advantage of training and teaching opportunities.

- Maintain ethical norms as well as patient confidentiality.

- Promote a collaborative team atmosphere through communication and participation in case discussions.

Salary:

$90,000-105,000 per year

Qualifications:

  • Must have a master's degree in mental health counseling or a similar profession.
  • Must have a valid LMHC license in the state.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication abilities.
  • Occasional lifting/moving of up to 15 pounds is necessary.
  • Close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are all required.
