Full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Position Available in Phoenix Psychotherapy Counseling Center.

We have positions available for Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) that specialize in addiction counseling. Candidates must have great clinical skills, empathy, cultural competency, and a collaborative attitude. Our primary goal is to provide counseling and therapy to seniors who are suffering with bereavement, life changes, and age-related concerns.

Work Schedule:

Regular workweek 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct extensive mental health exams on older citizens in order to determine their particular care requirements.

- Offer individual and group therapy to address emotional difficulties associated with aging and life changes.

- Work with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans for elderly residents.

- Educate staff and family on techniques to improve seniors' emotional well-being and general quality of life.

- Provide grief and loss support to residents and families dealing with end-of-life difficulties.

- Implement cognitive stimulation programs and mental health therapies in the elderly to improve and maintain mental clarity.

Requirements:

- A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an authorized college or university.

- Possession of a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license.

- At least four years of recent experience in geriatric counseling and mental health assistance is required.

- Additional education or training in geriatric mental health and aging challenges.

- Previous experience providing counseling services to older people experiencing a variety of mental health issues.

- Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for improving mental health in the elderly.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to engage with older residents.

- Empathy and cultural awareness in order to assist older persons from various backgrounds.

- The capacity to perform comprehensive assessments and establish tailored treatment plans.

- Understanding of ethical and legal guidelines in geriatric mental health counseling.

Salary:

$90,000-105,000 Each year, with a bonus
