Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Wanted in Worcester, Massachusetts

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals, particularly focusing on those experiencing mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical research, patient assessment, and telehealth practices, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support tailored to their needs.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per year + benefits

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide mental health counseling to individuals, with a focus on children and adolescents.
  • Offer direct support to clients dealing with PTSD and other trauma-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in behavior management strategies to assist clients in coping with their challenges effectively.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving treatment methodologies and outcomes.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver services remotely, ensuring accessibility for all clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care and support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Accredited Institution is required.
  • Active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensure in Massachusetts
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices, including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based interventions.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment and behavior management techniques.
  • Experience with telehealth services is highly desirable.
  • Background in clinical research is a plus, contributing to the advancement of mental health practices.
