Remote LMHC - Wanted in Snoqualmie, Washington

This is a remote contractor position providing mental health services via telehealth for a group counseling practice. This is best to transition from office and admin work to purely seeing clients. This contract role is ideal for those working in agencies, those who are newly licensed, and those in primarily admin roles looking for an outlet for direct client care. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of your clients.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 per year + benefits

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates member’s treatment for mental health and substance abuse before, during, and after services to ensure level of care and services are medically appropriate
  • Performs prior authorization reviews related to mental health and substance abuse to determine medical appropriateness following regulatory guidelines and criteria
  • Engages with medical directors and leadership to improve the quality and efficiency of care
  • Formulates and presents cases in staffing and integrated rounds
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • License to practice independently, and/or have obtained the state-required licensure as outlined by the applicable state required
  • A Master’s degree for behavioral health clinicians is required
  • Clinical knowledge and ability to review and/or assess treatment plans related to mental health and substance abuse preferred
  • Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse utilization review process preferred
  • Experience working with providers and healthcare teams to review care services related to mental health and substance abuse preferred
