Now Hiring: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

Location: Schenectady, New York (Onsite Outpatient Clinic)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Competitive Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday (9AM-5PM)

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our outpatient clinic in New York. In this onsite role, you will provide direct clinical services, helping individuals overcome emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling in an in-person outpatient setting.
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions, including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.
  • Offer crisis intervention and referrals to appropriate resources.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, case managers, and social workers.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with New York state regulations.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Active LMHC license in New York, in good standing.
  • Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient or mental health settings.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
