Responsibilities:

  • Perform intake and needs assessments for individuals, significant others, and family members through testing, interviews, observations, and conversation sessions
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and assessment of therapeutic treatment programs for each patient
  • Document patient records accurately and thoroughly by facility and licensing standards
  • Participate in clinical team meetings every week and engage with community organizations.
  • Provide crisis counseling as needed and outreach counseling to community settings such as schools, home visits, and other settings as assigned by the Director of Behavioral Health.
  • Provide specialized counseling groups or classes for adjustment to illness, adjustment to pain, parenting classes, depression, grief, anger management, teen issues, or other topics within the scope of license and training.
  • Participate in weekly case review meetings.

Requirements:

  • Licensed in California as an LMFT and have up to two years of clinical experience post-licensure preferred and preferably some experience in medical social work
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or behavioral science required
  • Certification in one or more treatment modalities required
  • CPR Certified
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
