Job Title: Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Location: Waukee, Iowa
Job Types: Full-time
Pay: $80,000 - $90,000 per year + benefits
Schedule: Monday-Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
About the Role:
Position Summary:
The Remote LMHC will provide virtual therapy to clients across Iowa, helping them manage a wide range of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and more. This role allows you to work independently, manage your caseload, and focus entirely on what matters most—client healing and growth—while our administrative team takes care of scheduling, billing, and referrals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide telehealth psychotherapy to individual clients, couples, and/or families
- Conduct thorough initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based, culturally competent therapy
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in our secure EHR system
- Participate in optional peer consultation, training sessions, and clinical meetings
- Ensure ethical, compliant care in accordance with Iowa BBS standards and HIPAA
Ideal Candidate:
- Active and unrestricted LMHC license in Iowa (required)
- Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or related field
- At least 1 year of post-graduate clinical experience preferred
- Proficient in telehealth tools and HIPAA-compliant platforms
- Strong documentation, time-management, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently while maintaining high clinical standards
