Position: Licensed Professional Counselor
Location: Towson, Maryland
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Compensation: $80,000 to $90,000 + Benefits
Position Overview
Our team is looking for a Licensed Professional Counselor to join our growing team of behavioral health clinicians to raise the standard of healthcare for everyone, everywhere. In this role, you will diagnose and treat mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders in a telehealth setting, address trauma, teach communication and healthy coping skills, assist patients in addressing maladaptive behaviors, and guide them through crises as you develop their resilience. Roots Through Recovery provides professional development for our clinicians to help them grow in their role and provides trauma-specific modalities like EMDR, DBT, and CBT.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide therapy services to our children, teens, young adults and their families

Meet with clients and their families regularly to provide counseling and treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary

Work collaboratively with our clinical team, including clinical psychologists, LMHCs, and LCSWs

Provide complete documentation and records of assessments and treatments according to in-house policies

Collaborate with Emora Health’s clinical leadership to improve our clinical approach and processes in order to create the best experience for each family
Qualifications:

Licensed to practice psychotherapy or counseling independently -Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Master’s degree in Counseling

Active and unrestricted state license in Maryland

1+ years of unsupervised/post-licensure psychotherapy treatment experience

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date
Required General Skills/Abilities:

Ability to practice independently without ongoing clinical supervision

Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Keep up-to-date with continuing education and knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial interventions
