Full-time Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner Needed in Anchorage, Alaska

Work Schedule:

Your typical work hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of employees' health status, including medical history, physical examinations, and health screenings.
  • Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses, and provide appropriate referrals as needed.
  • Develop and implement health promotion programs and initiatives to enhance employee wellness.
  • Collaborate with employers, human resources, and safety teams to ensure compliance with occupational health regulations and standards.
  • Provide education on injury prevention, ergonomics, and health-related topics to employees and management.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of employee health information.
  • Participate in workplace hazard assessments and assist in developing strategies for risk reduction.
  • Stay updated on occupational health guidelines, practices, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active state nursing license.
  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, preferably in occupational health or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health regulations and practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
