Full-time/Part-time Dermatology Nurse Practitioners Needed at Epitome Care Dermatology in Arlington, VA

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner with experience in dermatology to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions, as well as performing minor surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and be comfortable working with both children and adults.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat skin conditions, such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and warts.
  • Provide patient education on skin care and preventive measures.
  • Perform physical examinations and take medical histories.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures, such as biopsies and suturing of wounds.
  • Refer patients to specialists for further treatment.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialization in dermatology or a related field.
  • Active state license as a Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in dermatology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in dermatology, demonstrating proficiency in diagnosing and treating various dermatological conditions.
  • In-depth knowledge of dermatological assessment techniques, diagnostic procedures, and treatment options.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities to manage a diverse caseload, prioritize patient care, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, fostering a positive and supportive environment for patients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and holistic patient care.
  • Dedication to adhering to ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and healthcare regulations in all aspects of practice.

Salary:

$160,000 - $200,000 per year
