Full-time Nurse Practitioner Needed in Rocky Hill, Connecticut

We're seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in an urgent care facility. As a Nurse practitioner, your role will be managing a wide range of urgent medical needs in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $100,000 per year + benefits

Job Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive examination of patient's health status by taking health histories and performing physical examinations in clinical areas
• Prescribe medications, and orders/interpret laboratory tests, x-rays, and procedures according to clinical privileges
• Evaluate patients to determine their need for further health care
• Provide comprehensive teaching to patients and families
• Document in the medical record all care and education provided and/or procedures performed for which the Licensed Advanced Practice Provider is responsible
• Maintain certifications and continuing education as required for licensure
• Provide comprehensive teaching strategies for patients and their families

Requirements:

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution/college of nursing
• Current and active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut
• Credentialed in Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance
• Experience working in an urgent care facility
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
