Nurse Practitioner Opportunity – Hospital Setting

Location: Huntington , New York

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $180,000.00 - $200,000 per year + benefits

As a hospital-based NP, you’ll work closely with attending physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver exceptional care. You’ll assess patients, coordinate treatment, and bring compassion and clinical expertise to every bedside.

Job Duties:

  • Provide direct patient care, including health assessments and physical exams
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with hospital protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care planning
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and preventive care
  • Document care thoroughly and accurately within the EMR system

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current NY State RN and NP license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • National board certification (AANP, ANCC, etc.)
  • BLS and ACLS certified (or willing to obtain upon hire)
  • Hospital or acute care experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
