Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Cardiology to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular care, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage and monitor chronic cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
- Provide patient education on lifestyle modifications, medication management, and preventive measures to promote heart health.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as needed, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in patient follow-up care, including routine check-ups and monitoring of treatment progress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology preferred.
- Minimum of (2) years of experience in cardiology or related field.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform and interpret cardiovascular diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
