Nurse Practitioner Needed in Brooklyn, New York

We are looking for a skilled Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in cardiovascular medicine and imaging to join our dedicated cardiology team. In this role, you will collaborate with our cardiology physicians to deliver exceptional care to cardiac patients, with a focus on conducting, recording, and interpreting stress test results.

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document patient history relevant to their chief complaint or reason for visit.
• Perform thorough physical examinations and document key findings to evaluate patient health.
• Provide comprehensive care to adult patients with cardiovascular complaints or conditions.
• Administer and supervise cardiac diagnostic testing to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Order necessary laboratory tests, interpret results, and integrate findings into patient care.
• Diagnose cardiovascular conditions and develop individualized treatment plans while monitoring patient progress.
• Manage heart disease treatment and support chronic illness management as part of preventative care.
• Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular health, prevention strategies, and ongoing care.
• Prescribe medications following New York State and federal guidelines to support patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up.
• Participate in continuing education programs to stay current with advancements in cardiovascular care.
• Complete other responsibilities as required to support team efforts and patient outcomes.

Salary is $150,000-$160,000 per year

Qualifications:

• Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN)
• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner education program registered by the New York State Education Department.
• Seeking a minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner treating cardiovascular medical conditions.
• Current Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a New York State approved accrediting body – American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Must possess current, unencumbered New York State Nursing (RN) license.
• Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Comfortable with the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and Microsoft Office
