We are a clinician-owned practice focused on holistic mental health looking for a highly driven and skilled family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. At Avisa Nursing Care, we provide psychotherapy, psychopharmacology and lifestyle medicine to children and adults of all ages. Our focus is on providing quality care for our clients. As a clinician with us, you will have the support of experienced nurse practitioners as well as the autonomy to provide quality care without intrusive oversight. You will never need to see more than two patients per hour, and have the option of providing psychotherapy and medication management in a 50 minute visit. You'll be expected to provide high quality patient care as part of our tele-health psychiatric practice. The best fit candidate will be a self-driven individual looking for autonomy and flexibility of working from home.

Responsibilities & Scope:
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic psychiatric illnesses: develop treatment plans based on practice guidelines and evidence-based standards of care
  • Prescribe necessary medications based on clinical indicators including diagnosis, lab tests and patient status, ensuring patient safety through appropriate prescription management
  • Assist patient and family in understanding diagnosis, treatment, medication and in securing appropriate treatment environment to ensure safety
  • Document visits according to company standards
  • Provide individual, couple or family psychotherapy
Qualifications:
  • Board certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (ANCC PMHNP-BC)
  • Vermont-licensed as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or willing to obtain certification in Vermont
  • Must reside in the United States
  • Thorough knowledge of medical records standards, regulations and diagnosis codes and must comply with all state, federal, division and agency requirements as related to medical records and documentation
  • Current and valid DEA Number
  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Applicants must have basic distance-based therapy skills or a willingness to train on platform usage
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check
