Job Duties:
- Provide direct care to patients in an inpatient setting, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, evaluate patient history, and use diagnostic reasoning to develop treatment plans for a variety of conditions.
- Administer interventions, manage medications, and provide patient education on managing chronic conditions and improving their overall health and wellness.
- Act as a key advocate for patients, ensuring their needs are met and that they receive high-quality, compassionate care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including attending physicians, specialists, and nurses, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to hospital protocols and healthcare regulations.
- Engage in ongoing learning and training opportunities to stay at the forefront of healthcare innovations and best practices.
- Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner in Oregon with an active, unrestricted license. Board certification in your specialty area is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting. Previous inpatient care experience is highly desirable.
- Advanced clinical skills and knowledge of hospital-based patient care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle critical situations, and make quick decisions.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to patient care.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing healthcare environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
