Full Time Family Nurse Practitioner Wanted for an independent practitioner owned outpatient Pediatrician office in Bay Ridge & Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, NY

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year depending on experience plus health insurance, 2 weeks PTO.

Work Schedule: M to F 9-5 pm

Job Summary: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialize in the health care needs of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Pediatric Nurse Practitioner duties include monitoring the health, growth, and development of their patients from birth. Pediatricians regularly see their patients for checkups. These checkups occur frequently from birth until the age of two, and then generally once a year through adolescence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and treating common childhood ailments and minor injuries
• Recommending patients for further treatments and to specialists when needed
• Providing preventative care, including the recommendation of vaccines
• Recording and maintaining the health and development information of their patients
• Effectively communicating their patients' health, nutritional, and fitness needs to their guardians

Qualifications

• MSN Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited University
  
• Active NY APRN License
• Current PNP or FNP Board Certification
• Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing. I’m guessing they can get this during the credentialing process
• Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting
• Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
