Full-time Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner Needed in New York!

Work Schedule:

  • Your schedule will range from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics until 8:00 p.m.
  • Participation in community outreach events or health fairs during weekends may be required.
  • An average workweek totaling approximately 40 hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough health examinations and assessments for local people and families.
  • Recognize and treat both acute and long-term medical issues, as well as provide preventative care and promote healthy living.
  • Work together with stakeholders and community organizations to create and carry out health education initiatives.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and access to healthcare services while providing care that is sensitive to cultural differences.
  • Organize follow-up appointments and referrals to guarantee patients receive continuous treatment.
  • Uphold accurate and thorough medical records while adhering to legal requirements.
  • Engage in health fairs and community outreach initiatives to spread awareness and offer health tests.
  • Keep abreast on developments in evidence-based medicine, community health, and pertinent legislation.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active state nursing license.
  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, preferably in community health or public health settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Commitment to social justice, health equity, and advocating for vulnerable communities.
