Full-time Nurse Practitioner Needed for Internal Medicine in Plano, TX

As a full-time Nurse Practitioner specializing in internal medicine, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families within the community of Plano, TX. Your role will encompass delivering holistic care, addressing diverse healthcare needs, and advocating for equitable access to quality services. Work Schedule:

  • Your schedule will span from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics extended until 8:00 p.m.
  • Participation in community outreach events or health fairs during weekends may be necessary.
  • The average workweek will total approximately 40 hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and screenings for individuals and families in the community.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, emphasizing preventive care and health promotion.
  • Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to devise and implement health education programs.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care and advocate for patients' rights and healthcare service accessibility.
  • Coordinate referrals and ensure follow-up care to maintain continuity of care for patients.
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate medical records adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Engage in community outreach events and health fairs to raise awareness and offer health screenings.
  • Remain abreast of community health trends, evidence-based practices, and pertinent policies.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active state nursing license.
  • Possession of a Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, ideally in community health or public health settings.
