Full-time NURSE PRACTITIONER (NPs) needed.

In our pain control practice, a nurse practitioner will deliver specialty-level care in an outpatient setting. Working in a collaborative, team atmosphere, you will use advanced decision-making skills and knowledge to support optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule: Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administers, orders, and furnishes and/or prescribes medications.
  • Maintain an adequate patient flow on-site by assisting clinical staff.
  • Maintain quality assurance of charts and testing.
  • Must be able to see up to 16-18 patients per day (lower initially).
  • Provides direct and indirect support to Providers in the delivery of patient care.
  • Examine patients, diagnose illnesses and provide treatment, order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, gather health histories, perform physical examinations/screenings and diagnostic procedures, prescribe medication(s).
  • Assists physician colleagues with patient care coordination including patient communication, review of labs, phone triage for urgent patient concerns, and post-visit follow up.
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise in pain management by serving as a clinical expert, role model and clinical consultant to patient care staff, physicians and other ancillary staff as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Dictate and document all patient interactions, notify managing physician/CMO about unusual or unexpected events or problems.
  • Effectively communicate with diverse populations, including physicians, employees, and patients.
  • Document injections, and other medical procedures. Administers medications, anesthetic agents.
  • Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations.
  • Evaluates and manages the care of patients.
  • Assists physician colleagues with patient care coordination including patient communication, review of labs, phone triage for urgent patient concerns, and post-visit follow up.
  • Assessment of normal and abnormal findings.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using electronic health records
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to speak with patients with respect.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • At times I am able to work under stressful conditions to meet unpredictable time demands.
  • Must pay attention to detail.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and be proactive.
  • Excellent care and empathy when dealing with our patients.

REQUIRED:

  • Must have DEA Licensure by the first day of work.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, TEAMS, Epic.
  • HIPPA compliance training and patient confidentiality training.
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation systems.
  • Certification by ANCC or ANPP as an advanced practice nurse / nurse practitioner.
  • Must hold current AHA BLS and ACLS as minimum requirement.
  • Active California state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
