Full-time NURSE PRACTITIONER (NPs) needed.

You are required to practice relationship-based medicine to the extent that your nurse practitioner licensing permits. You give your patients comprehensive treatment while educating them on maintaining excellent health, controlling chronic conditions, and preventing disease.

Schedule: Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to complete written records in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to communicate with children and adolescents; provide group and individual health teaching and counseling in order to provide high-quality physical and emotional support to patients.
  • Ability to respond well to emergencies in a stressful environment; handle potentially volatile situations in a calm, decisive manner, and to recognize when consultation is needed
  • Document all patient encounters and sign medical charts within 72 hours as per industry standards and guidelines.
  • Develop a treatment plan as part of the patient's overall care plan that addresses dysfunction and disease while minimizing risk of further injury.
  • Prescribe and dispense medication when granted authority in accordance with State licensure and staff privileges.
  • Employ evidence-based approaches to shared decision-making that respect the patient’s preferences and social norms while targeting optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Order therapies such as occupational and physical therapy.
  • May perform injections consistent with training and privileges under established protocols.
  • Encourage patients to take control and responsibility of their health through self-management and use of community resources.
  • Engage patients and provide care in individual and group settings that focus on achieving care plan goals and education.
  • Care for a medically complex and emotionally challenging patient population that requires compassion, empathy, and the ability to de-escalate and appropriately react to unacceptable behavior in individual and group settings.
  • Knowledge of general and specific medical diagnoses and treatments, especially for children and adolescents; problem-oriented recording; pharmaceutical treatments; health education methods and techniques, and referral resources within the community in order to provide comprehensive treatment.
  • Knowledge of primary, acute, and chronic healthcare management; basic laboratory work.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Independent family practice experience including routine wellness care, chronic care management, and urgent visit, preferred
  • Active license & current ANCC or AANP board certification required
  • Independent practice provider preferred, where applicable per State regulation.
  • Federal DEA number preferred; may be required for full prescribing ability.
  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date
