Nurse Practitioner | Internal Medicine

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Offer: 150,000 to $160,000

Role Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing, coordinating, and ensuring comprehensive medical care as a Nurse Practitioner. You will apply your medical expertise and adhere to established standards of care while performing therapeutic, corrective, and prescriptive measures for both inpatient and outpatient populations. Additionally, you will take on delegated responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works in collaboration with physicians and other health care providers to provide health care across the continuum of care to assigned patients.
  • Obtains patient medical, physical and psycho-social history and performs comprehensive health assessment including physical exam, based on age and history.
  • Conducts non-invasive preventive screening procedures based on age and history.
  • Formulates the appropriate differential diagnosis based on history, physical examination and clinical findings.
  • Develops and provides a relevant patient education plan.
  • Prescribes and administers appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
  • Have at least 3-4 years of relevant clinical experience
  • Familiarity with medical technology and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Skills in educating patients about their health and advocating for their needs.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions. Skills in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
