Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Addiction Recovery

We are seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join an addiction treatment facility in Oakland, CA. In this role, you will play a key role in providing medical care to individuals on their recovery journey. Additional incentives are available for those fluent in Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, or Vietnamese.

Position Overview:

  • Compensation: $150,000 - $170,000 per year + benefits
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Patient Volume: 16-20 patients per day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medical assessments and develop personalized care plans based on patient history.
  • Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms using CIWA and COWS protocols.
  • Prescribe and adjust medications, including MAT, under physician guidance.
  • Identify co-occurring conditions and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records to ensure patient care continuity.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and counselors to improve patient outcomes.
  • Offer guidance and support to the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

  • Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in California.
  • Board-certified NP (FNP, ANP, or PMHNP) with an MSN degree.
  • DEA license, NPI number, and Board of Pharmacy License.
