We are looking for a full time Pain Management Nurse Practitioner at Interventional Pain and Diagnostic Center in Newark, OH


The Nurse Practitioner in Interventional Pain and Diagnostic Center will deliver pain management medical care to a wide variety of patients and maintaining accurate and current patient records.

The successful candidate will work as a team with our medical assistants, lab techs, and doctors, and will assist in delivering premium care to each and every patient.


Schedule:

Days, Four, ten hour shifts (no weekends)


Salary:

$115,000.00 to $165,000.00 per year. DOE

Requirements:

  • Board-certified Family and Adult Nurse Practitioner• Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner’s Studies
  • Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner Studies
  • Experience: Pain management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Basic Life Support BCLS Certification
  • Current and unrestricted DEA license
  • Strong computer skills in EMR
  • OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance
  • Friendly and caring personality
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills; Excellent Patient Care
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Obtaining patient histories
  • Performing physical examinations
  • Ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and/or physical therapy
  • Formulating a diagnostic impression
  • Implementing treatment plans
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
  • Offering counseling and education to meet patient needs
  • Making/requesting appropriate referrals to specialists
  • Counseling and/or discharging non-compliant patients
  • Performing/administering trigger point injections, joint injections, and occipital nerve block with or without ultrasound guidance
  • Authorization/handling of incoming fax requests for medication refills
  • Identification and referral to RISK Clinic for current patients when appropriate
  • Review of monthly prescription monitoring reports
  • Review of radiology/lab reports
  • Remaining “on 2ndcall” during non-clinic hours for one month, rotating with the other providers in our practice.
