Responsibilities:


  • Patient Assessment and Evaluation Outpatient Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in interventional pain management conduct thorough assessments of patients, including medical histories and physical examinations, to determine the most effective pain management strategies


  • Treatment Planning and Implementation They collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating a range of interventions such as medication management, physical therapy, and minimally invasive procedures to address patients' pain issues


  • Procedural Assistance NPs may assist in interventional pain procedures, offering crucial support to physicians during injections, nerve blocks, and other minimally invasive interventions, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout the process


  • Patient Education and Follow-up These healthcare professionals play a vital role in educating patients about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care practices


  • They also conduct follow-up assessments to evaluate treatment efficacy, adjust plans as needed, and provide ongoing support to enhance patients' overall well-being

Qualifications:


  • Eligibility to be licensed in state as a NP is required


  • Experience In Pain Management Highly Preferred


  • Ortho or surgical experience highly preferred


  • Outpatient practice experience as a NP highly preferred
