Full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioners Needed at Pedi Bloom Potential Center in Arlington, TX.
The Nurse Practitioner promotes and maintains health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician. Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives. Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories. Other duties as assigned by the Attending Physician and Clinical Director.

Hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERABLES:
- Provides medical management and coordination of patients according to designated standardized procedures and in collaboration with the supervising physician as evidenced by: performing advanced age-specific clinical assessment/triage, care planning, treatment, interventions, and evaluation/monitoring; identifying patients in early crisis; collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team for early intervention and optimal patient outcomes; documenting care and care planning legibly in the medical record.
- Performing duties/designated procedures within Nurse Practitioner scope of practice and in accordance with medical center policies, protocols, techniques, guidelines, standardized procedures, and state and federal regulations; participating in medical record review and data collection.
- Serves as a liaison and resource in area of specialty for a culturally diverse multidisciplinary healthcare team, patient, and family populations as evidenced by providing patient/family education and support in complex clinical situations; providing information to appropriate individuals regarding plan of care, e.g., hospital course, post-operative plan of care, expected outcomes, follow-up care.
- Serving as a preceptor for students; providing training and teaching to students and multidisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Participating in development, review, revision, and implementation of standards of care, standardized procedures, policies, protocols, techniques, guidelines, patient education materials, and documentation tools.
- Participates in on-call rotation for designated area as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensure/Certification: Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license and California Nurse Practitioner Certificate required. Nat'l Provider Identifier (NPI) and DEA
- License required. As a requirement of this position, you must receive EPIC certification for the module you have been hired into.
- Education: Master's Degree and completion of NP curriculum required.
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience as a NP in a family practice or pediatric outpatient clinic and two (2) yrs RN in an acute care setting or in a sub-specialty clinic environment required.
Salary Range:
$131,000 to $150,000 / Year
