Full-time Nurse Practitioner Needed at Vybe Homemakers Medical Care in Waterbury, CT
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work within the outpatient practice of the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC) under the management of the Chief Nurse Practitioner and the direction of the Medical Director within the Division of Cardiology.
The NP will work collaboratively with Physicians, NP peers, Registered Nurses, other members of the multidisciplinary care team, and administrative support staff.
The successful candidate will be trained in several areas of outpatient Cardiology including Cardiology Clinic, Electrophysiology, Arrhythmia, Stress Testing, and more.
Both experienced and newer graduate Nurse Practitioners with prior Cardiology-related inpatient or outpatient experience will be considered.
Roles/Responsibilities:
•Work alongside several Cardiologists
•Manage patients with Hypertension and High Cholesterol.
•Provide outpatient-only Electrophysiology services to patients with abnormal electrocardiograms and arrhythmias, device patients, and more.
•Manage patients with acute conditions such as Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, VHD, Stroke/Transient Ischemic Attack, and more.
•Provide Stress Testing as needed.
•Receive consultation and supervision from on-site Cardiologists.
•Perform history and exams, and prescribe medication as required or directed.
•Refer patients to specialists within the group as necessary
•Provide education to patients and family members as necessary.
Qualifications:
•Completion of accredited program pertinent to the departmental needs (OB/GYN, Pediatrics, etc) and has passed the appropriate certification exam
•Master’s or doctoral degree
•Graduate of approved Nurse Practitioner program with certification
•Current license
Pay:
$160,000 - $180,000.00 per year
Days / Hours / Compensation / Benefits:
•Monday - Friday (9 am-5 pm)
•No calls / no nights / no weekends
