Full-time Nurse Practitioner Urgent Care at Prime Care Medical Services

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NP) who have urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our welcoming and diverse community of providers.

Our Advanced Practitioners provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. It is essential to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary while going above and beyond to deliver an unparalleled patient experience

Qualifications:

  • NP: 1 year of Full-Time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting required
  • Must be experienced and comfortable with peds and adults
  • EPIC EMR
  • Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages)
  • Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), reading EKGs and X-rays

Salary:

  • $120,000-$130,000

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to be responsible for examining patients, prescribing medicines, and ordering diagnostic tests as needed
  • The Nurse Practitioner will work under the supervision of the Physician
  • Consulting with Physicians when necessary
  • You should demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Interview, examine, and diagnose patient’s injuries and/or illnesses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and suggest lifestyle changes
  • Review and maintain patient’s medical histories, records and record patients' progress
  • Provide documentation for insurance companies
  • Educate and counsel patients and their families
  • Research the latest treatments, innovations, advances, and trends in the medical industry
