Nurse Practitioner Needed in an Assisted Living Facility – full-time opportunity
Location: Staten Island, New York
Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $180,000.00 - $200,000 per year + benefits
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our medical team and support the delivery of comprehensive healthcare in a dynamic hospital environment.
The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive healthcare services including diagnosis, treatment, health education, and preventive care. You will work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Job Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, physical exams, and medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
- Prescribe medications and manage therapeutic interventions within scope of practice
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care
- Document all patient interactions and care activities in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to clinical decision-making
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and relevant state and federal regulations
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with clinical best practices
Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of New York
- Board certification as an NP in a relevant specialty (e.g., FNP, AGNP, ACNP)
- DEA license and prescriptive authority required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems and clinical documentation
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
