Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Urgent Care
Location: New Milford, Connecticut | Employment Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM- 5 PM
We are a rapidly expanding network of modern, high-acuity urgent care centers providing accessible and efficient healthcare throughout Connecticut.
We’re seeking an experienced and confident FNP who thrives in autonomous clinical practice and enjoys a challenge. Ideal candidates will demonstrate clinical proficiency, adaptability, strong interpersonal skills, and a true commitment to urgent and episodic care.
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will function as an independent and integral part of the clinical care team. In this role, you’ll assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of urgent medical conditions while fostering a compassionate, efficient, and safe environment for patients of all ages.
Compensation: $120,000-$150,000 per year + benefits
Job Duties:

Deliver evidence-based urgent care to patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric

Conduct comprehensive physical exams and gather detailed medical histories

Diagnose and manage common illnesses and injuries such as respiratory infections, musculoskeletal injuries, rashes, gastrointestinal issues, and minor trauma

Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic testing including X-rays, urinalysis, CBCs, EKGs, and more

Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with collaborative agreements and evidence-based guidelines

Provide health education and preventive care counseling to patients and families

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system

Collaborate with on-site physicians, physician assistants, nurses, radiology techs, and administrative staff to ensure high standards of care and smooth patient flow
Requirements:

Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program

Active Connecticut APRN license and current national board certification (AANP or ANCC)

Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain

BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice

Strong procedural skills and comfort managing high patient volumes

Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs)

DOT Certification or willingness to obtain

Pediatric care experience

Experience with occupational health (pre-employment physicals, workers’ compensation)
